Case Study | BADG Obsidian
Client: Black Artists + Designers Guild (BADG)
Award-winning OBSIDIAN Virtual Concept House, unveiled in Winter - Spring 2021, represents BADG's inaugural initiative, a groundbreaking design to invite new conversations about the home as a place of thriving for one million Black families. Guided by the belief that Black futures are equitable, sustainable, and liberatory, we have created a virtual space that manifests our collective imaginings.
Digital Thread supported BADG’s Obsidian project as part of their internal creative team, and the PR team in collaboration with Cordero Consulting. We activated the project through mission-focused storytelling and community engagement, utilizing strategic consultation, media outreach, brand sponsorships and partnerships, influencer marketing, and event + activation management. Obsidian set a new benchmark for design innovation and cultural impact.
